Spend Deferment
The delay of investment or consumption spending to a future date in order to conserve the finances of a business.

Why spend something today that can be delayed until tomorrow? If it doesn’t impact upon business then spend deferment is not a plague brought upon us all by CFO’s (Finance Directors) but a prudent method of conserving the scarce funds of a business.
